A police sergeant arrested in connection with the death of a suspect in Kobeigane Police custody was further remanded until 12 November.
The Nikaweratiya Magistrate issued the order when the sergeant was produced before court today (2).
He had initially been produced before court yesterday (1) and remanded until today. His remand was subsequently extended following today’s court appearance.
