The nation’s leader in human resource management—successfully concluded its flagship event, HR Quiz 2025, themed “HR Rumble”, at the Monarch Imperial on 29 January. The event brought together over 75 teams and 300 participants from private and public sector organisations across Sri Lanka.

CIPM’s Great HR Quiz is a one-of-a-kind, high-tech, live table quiz and the only corporate quiz dedicated exclusively to the field of HR. Since its inception in 2014, it has continued to inspire the sharpest minds in HR, generating significant interest and enthusiasm among the HR fraternity.

The event featured an intense competition of wits, strategy, and expertise, culminating in Bodyline Pvt Ltd emerging as the champions of the Great HR Quiz 2025. Hemas Pharmaceuticals and Bank of Ceylon secured the first runner-up and second runner-up positions, respectively. The winning team was awarded the prestigious “Great HR Quiz 2025 – HR Rumble Champions Trophy.”

The awards were presented by:

  • Priyantha Ranasinghe – President, CIPM Sri Lanka
  • Priyankara Seneviratne – Project Chair
  • U. A. C. Obeysekera – Chief Executive Officer, CIPM Sri Lanka

Additionally, sector-wise winners and runners-up were recognised.

The competition was officiated by veteran HR expert C. Hewapattini, who served as the Quiz Master. Each team submitted their responses via an electronic response system, ensuring a seamless, technology-driven experience. The quiz was managed under the supervision of a panel of judges comprising esteemed leaders and academics in HR and business.

“The CIPM Great HR Quiz is a highly anticipated event within the HR fraternity. It not only allows participants to showcase their HR knowledge and skills in real-world work scenarios but also challenges them to be resourceful, agile, and innovative,” said Priyantha Ranasinghe, President of CIPM Sri Lanka.

“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the winners, runners-up, and all participants of the Great HR Quiz 2025. We are confident that this experience has added immense value to everyone involved, including the audience,” he added.

Following the competition, a networking session provided an excellent opportunity for participants to reconnect with fellow HR professionals and academics.
