Four Sri Lankan Fugitives Arrested in India Brought Back to SL

Four Sri Lankan suspects, wanted for their involvement in various crimes, were brought back to the island today (19) after being arrested in Chennai, India.

Among them is Ravindu Sandeepa, a Police Constable (PC) who allegedly assisted in the escape attempt of notorious drug trafficker Nadun Chinthaka Wickremeratne, alias “Harak Kata”, from Criminal Investigation Department (CID) custody before fleeing the country, Sri Lanka Police confirmed.

The suspects are currently in CID custody at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).
