“Paulownia Dear” Poetry Book Launch Set for Y.M.B.A. Gampaha

Poetry enthusiasts are in for a treat as the Y.M.B.A. Gampaha prepares to host the launch of the new poetry book Paulownia Dear, We May Not Be That Lucky tomorrow (20 March) from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event promises an afternoon of literary exploration with notable figures in Sri Lanka’s poetry scene.

The book launch will feature a keynote address titled “Love, Desire, Jouissance, and Poetry: A Structural Reading” by Saman Wickramarachchi, who will also join attendees in reading selections from the collection. A panel discussion on selected works by poet Palitha Ranatunge will be led by Buddhadasa Galappaththi, offering deeper insights into the themes and artistry of the book.

Organized by Tharanga, Lakdinu, and Chamath, the event invites attendees to pick up their copies of Paulownia Dear and engage with the vibrant discussion.
