Journalist Keerthi Warnakulasuriya Passes Away

Veteran journalist Keerthi Warnakulasuriya, known for his dedicated service to Sri Lankan journalism, has passed away at the age of 73.

He began his career as a reporter with Janadina and later spent decades at Divaina, where he provided coverage of the war and handled foreign affairs section.

Warnakulasuriya’s wife, Disna, had predeceased him several years ago. Following his retirement, he resided in Ragama with his brother, Ajith Warnakulasuriya. In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral was held, The Island reported.
