CPEX Sri Lanka, an official delivery agent for TEMU, has issued a statement addressing recent delivery delays and providing an update on the current status of parcel dispatches.

The company confirmed that a temporary disruption was caused by the non-performance of a former local last-mile delivery partner during the first three weeks of May. This issue affected the timely handover and tracking of TEMU parcels that had already arrived in Sri Lanka.

“We regret the inconvenience caused to TEMU customers who have been waiting for their orders,” a CPEX spokesperson said. “The withheld parcels were returned to us in the early hours of 20 May and were immediately assigned to a new delivery partner for priority dispatch. Unfortunately, some packages had already been withheld for nearly a month, and the sudden halt in service by the former delivery partner created a backlog, resulting in delays and customer dissatisfaction.”

The matter received direct attention from CPEX’s global leadership in Hong Kong and its South Asia regional office. Since then, the CPEX Sri Lanka logistics team has been working around the clock with new courier partners to resume deliveries efficiently and securely.

CPEX confirmed that nationwide deliveries officially recommenced on 20 May 2025, with tens of thousands of parcels successfully delivered to date. All eligible TEMU packages affected by the disruption were dispatched from the CPEX warehouse by 26 May, and customers across Sri Lanka can expect delivery in the coming days.

Customers are encouraged to check the status of their orders via the TEMU mobile app and stay alert to SMS notifications and calls from CPEX courier partners. If tracking information appears unchanged, the package is likely queued for last-mile dispatch.

CPEX extends its sincere apologies to affected customers and reaffirms its commitment to strengthening logistics partnerships and improving service transparency to prevent future disruptions. The company also urges the public to rely only on official updates and to contact authorised support channels for assistance.

Amid ongoing misinformation being circulated on social media regarding this situation, the public is advised to verify the accuracy of such content before drawing conclusions.
