Amid the ongoing crisis in Israel, the Indian government has agreed to provide a limited number of seats on Air India flights operating from Amman, Jordan to New Delhi for Sri Lankans seeking to leave the country.

The Sri Lankan Embassy in Israel has requested all Sri Lankans intending to use this route to register with the embassy as soon as possible. As part of the arrangement, free transport will be provided from Tel Aviv to Amman. The connecting flight from Amman to New Delhi will also be free of charge. However, passengers will be required to purchase their own tickets for the final leg of the journey from New Delhi to Colombo.

Diplomatic missions in the respective countries will coordinate the necessary travel arrangements. The Sri Lankan Embassy in Israel has further announced that registration for this special evacuation will be open only on 23 and 24 June 2025. Those interested are urged to complete the process within the given timeframe.
