Politician Arrested with Two Illegally Imported Jeeps

Police have arrested the former Chairman of the Wattegama Municipal Council and an associate for possession of two illegally imported jeeps.

The suspects have been identified as 58-year-old former Chairman Ravindra Kumara and 38-year-old businessman Lakshitha Manoj.

Police said investigations are underway to determine how the vehicles were imported and whether others were involved in the illegal operation.
