Showers or thundershowers are also likely in a few areas of the Uva Province and the Ampara District after 2.00 p.m.

The Met Department further warned of strong winds ranging from 40–50 kmph at times over the western slopes of the central hills, and in the Northern, North-central, North-western, and Central provinces, as well as Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.
