Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe met former President Mahinda Rajapaksa this morning (28) at Carlton House in Tangalle, the United National Party (UNP) media unit said.

The meeting took place while Wickremesinghe was travelling from Kataragama to Colombo.

During the discussion, Wickremesinghe expressed gratitude to Rajapaksa for the support he extended during the period when Wickremesinghe was imprisoned. He also inquired after Rajapaksa’s health and well-being during the visit, the statement added.
