1,450 Metric Tons Of Fish Exported To Europe After Lifting Ban

The Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resource Development announces that 1,450 metric tons of fish has been exported to the Europe after the removal of the ban imposed on Sri Lanka. The ministry added that high demand is witnessed for tuna fish from Europe and some other countries. The ban was removed before 2 months. The tuna fish is exported under the brand of "Sri Lankan tuna". Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said that Sri Lankan products have amazed high international recognition. The country has only been able to fulfill 1/3rd of the total demand yet.
