Unilever Sri Lanka is proud to host the ‘Unilever Youth Forum 2016’. This annual event, conducted for the third year, is organized by the SPARKS - Unilever Student Ambassadors under the theme of ‘Sustainability through Innovation’.

Youth Forum aims to provide a platform to the youth to acknowledge, learn from and overcome challenges facing the country, society or the workforce today with help of insights and opinions from acclaimed personalities. Thinking beyond horizons, innovating without borders and acting responsibly will be the key focus areas from this year’s Youth Forum.

The event is organized with the expectation of changing the attitude of the young generation towards the environment and “Making sustainability living commonplace” and to motivate youth to engage in innovation that addresses the climate issues and preserves life below water and life on land. Hence the Youth Forum emphasizes on the three key points of action “Think. Innovate. Act.”

This year’s Youth Forum will focus on “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure”, and aspects of “Climate Action”, “Life below Water” and “Life above Land”. These Sustainable Development Goals were chosen due the relevance they hold in the lives of us Sri Lankans and the immediate action required for each of them.

The forum brings together top 100 undergraduates representing Universities island-wide. Each of them have been selected through a rigorous selection process. The Youth Forum will consist of engaging events and sessions which will enlighten the youth of the need of sustainable action.

Dr. Harsha Subasinghe, Founder, President and CEO of CodeGen Group of Companies will address the gathering with the key note speech.
