Chaaminda Kumarasiri Appointed Chairman of ACCA Sri Lanka Member Network Panel for 2024/2026

At the recently concluded Annual General Meeting of ACCA Sri Lanka, Mr. Chaaminda Kumarasiri was appointed as the Chairman of the Member Network Panel for the term  2024 / 2026.

 

 A Chartered Accountant by profession and a Fellow Member of ACCA Sri Lanka, Chaaminda brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. With over 20 years of corporate experience, he is widely recognized as a leading corporate trainer and senior management consultant in Sri Lanka. He currently serves as the Chairman/Principal Consultant of H C P Consulting (Pvt.) Ltd and is the Founder/CEO of The Human Capital Partner. Additionally, Chaaminda  holds directorial positions in several companies, including a listed bank, showcasing his strong leadership and strategic acumen.

 

Chaaminda holds a B.Sc. in Accountancy (Special) with First Class Honors from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He has also completed his MBA in Finance at the University of Colombo, further enhancing his academic credentials and expertise in the financial domain. 

 

In his new role as Chairman of the Member Network Panel of ACCA Sri Lanka, Chaaminda is poised to lead initiatives that promote networking, professional development, and collaboration among ACCA members in Sri Lanka. His appointment is a testament to his leadership capabilities and his unwavering commitment to advancing the accounting profession in the country. In recognition of his exceptional commitment and dedication to promoting the accountancy profession and its values, Chaaminda was awarded the ACCA National Advocate of the Year for 2022.


 In his acceptance speech Chaaminda Kumarasiri outlined "in this dynamic environment, our role as accountants is more critical and challenging than ever. We are not just number crunchers; we are trusted advisors, strategic partners, and guardians of financial integrity.  In light of these, my vision for ACCA Sri Lanka over the next two years will be  aligned with ACCA's strategic priorities. 
I will strive to achieve the following goals: embrace technological innovation, strengthen ethical standards, and advocate for our profession.’


 
ACCA Sri Lanka also unveiled its Executive Committee for the term 2024/ 2026 comprising of accomplished professionals from diverse industries. Mr. Jehan Perinpanayagam, CEO of Infomate (Pvt) Ltd, serves as the Immediate Past President, whilst Mr. Prasenna Balachandran, Chief Internal Auditor , Laugfs Holdings, was appointed the Vice Chairman. The remainder of the executive committee comprised of Ranjani Joseph, Partner and Head of Banking and Markets at KPMG, Moiz Rehmanjee, Group Chief Financial Officer at Hemas Holdings PLC, Mahesh Semage, Head of Group Corporate Finance at Ceylon Biscuits Ltd, Buddhi Pathiraja, Director at BDO Consulting (Pvt) Ltd, Sashi Jayakody, Finance Director at Hayleys Aventura (Pvt) Ltd, Lahiru Karunarathna, Chief Executive Officer at oDoc (Pvt) Ltd, Nadishanie Jayalath, Team Lead - BPO Operations at Hayleys Business Solutions International (Pvt) Ltd, and Dhananjaya Dayananda, Chief Internal Auditor at SANASA Development Bank PLC.
