LTTE

The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) was recognised as a Tamil terrorist group originated in the Northern part of Sri Lanka.

During the 1976 by the Leader/Founder Velupillai Prabhakaran as a secessionist nationalist campaign to create an independent state in the north and east of Sri Lanka for Tamil people.

The LTTE was responsible for a three decade long war that broke out in the country and was finally brought down by the Sri Lankan forces in 2009 with the death of Leader Prabhakaran.
