Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with Saudi King Shah Abdullah in Jeddah and discussed bilateral ties.The two sides also reviewed regional, as well as international issues. Situation in Syria and Palestine was also discussed. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar was also present at the meeting. 

Earlier Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif announced Friday the 25th July, 2014 as a day of mourning to show solidarity with the innocent people of Gaza who have been subjected to terror and war crimes by the state of Israel. Moreover, the Prime Minister ordered to contribute one million dollars in UN flash appeal for Gaza Palestinians.
