Eminem has a new accolade - he's the second best-selling male artist of all time in the United States, bumping country singer George Strait to number three.
Last week, the rapper's latest album, "The Marshall Mathers LP 2," surpassed the 2 million mark, boosting his total record sales to 44.9 million.
Strait, meanwhile, has sold 44.89 million albums throughout his 30-year career. It's worth noting that the country singer's career predates the inception of SoundScan data.
The number-one top selling artist? Garth Brooks.
In related news, Eminem also earned his 50th Billboard Hot 100 song with "Headlights," featuring fun. Front-man Nate Ruess. The song debuted at number 86.
The rapper will be joining Rihanna on tour together this summer. The pair recently collaborated on two hit singles, "Love the Way You Lie" and "Monster," and will play together at stadiums in Los Angeles, Calif.; New York and Detroit, Mich. in August.
