Police seek public assistance to arrest suspect in woman’s murder

Police are seeking public assistance to arrest a suspect wanted in connection with the murder of a woman in the Matugama Police Division.

The incident occurred on 18 April 2025 in the Dolahena area, where a 34-year-old woman was killed, police said.

Facts relating to the incident have been reported to the Matugama Magistrate’s Court, and investigations have revealed that the suspect has fled the area and is currently in hiding.

Accordingly, police have requested the public’s assistance to locate and arrest the suspect.
