A group of teachers at Colombo’s Nalanda College has filed a complaint with the Borella Police, alleging that the school principal failed to act on repeated reports concerning the conduct of the former head prefect.

According to the complaint, several female teachers had, on multiple occasions, raised concerns with the principal of the primary section, the teacher in charge of the Prefects’ Board, and the school principal, stating that the student’s behaviour caused them discomfort.

Despite these complaints, no disciplinary action was taken, the teachers allege.

The complaint calls for an investigation into why the earlier concerns were allegedly disregarded and whether the school administration failed to follow established procedures.
