The Colombo District Court today issued an interim injunction preventing the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) from implementing its decision to suspend the party membership of Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekera.

The order was made after the court considered a complaint filed by Jayasekera challenging the party’s decision.

However, the court declined to grant a further request seeking to prevent any obstruction to his functioning as the General Secretary of the SLFP.
