Galle community provides essentials to rescued Iranian sailors

The Galle community, together with the Galle Cancer Society, has provided essential supplies to Iranian sailors currently receiving treatment at the Galle National Hospital after being rescued from a naval vessel that met with an accident in seas near Galle.

According to journalist Farhan Nizamdeen in Galle, the items provided included clothing, food and other basic necessities required by the rescued sailors.

The sailors had been brought to the Galle National Hospital after they were rescued by the Sri Lanka Navy from the Iranian vessel that encountered the incident in nearby waters.
