Two inmates were killed after a clash broke out between two groups of prisoners at the Negombo Prison today (5), hospital sources said.
The clash reportedly occurred around noon, and more than 30 injured inmates were admitted to the Negombo Hospital for treatment.
The Police Special Task Force (STF) was deployed to the prison to bring the situation under control.
