2027 Budget to Be Presented on 12 November

The second reading of the 2027 Appropriation Bill, commonly referred to as the Budget Speech, is scheduled to be presented in Parliament on November 12, the Ministry of Finance announced.

According to the Ministry, the 2027 Appropriation Bill will be published in the Government Gazette on September 18, while its first reading in Parliament is scheduled for October 7.

The draft Appropriation Bill, which includes expenditure estimates for each ministry, is due to be submitted to the Cabinet for approval on September 14.

The Ministry further stated that the second reading debate on the Budget will be held from November 13 to November 20, while the Committee Stage debate is scheduled to take place from November 21 until December 14.
