Anuruddha Lokuhapuarachchi Appointed Director of International Media at PMD

Veteran photojournalist Anuruddha Lokuhapuarachchi has been appointed as the Director of International Media and Strategic Communications at the President’s Media Division (PMD).

He received his appointment letter this afternoon (24) from Secretary to the President, Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, at the Presidential Secretariat.

Lokuhapuarachchi has made a significant contribution to Sri Lankan photojournalism and was instrumental in introducing digital photography to journalism in the country. He worked with Reuters for nearly two decades and holds a degree in photography and digital photography.
