The Colombo Crimes Division today filed another case against Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galaboda Aththe Gnaanasara sequel to a complaint made against him alleging that he made a defamatory statement to the Islam and the Holy Quran while making a statement to media on April 12 at the Slave Island police station.

Meanwhile, Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage issued an order directing two private TV channel to hand over the video footage relevant to the incident. About eight people in their statements to CCD had alleged that Gnaanasara Thera made this defamatory statement while he was summoned before Slave Island police regarding the commotion took place at the Nippon hotel on April 9.
