Minister Mahinda Amaraweera expressed his dissatisfaction over the government's decision to use the warehouses in Mattala International Airport to store paddy and said that if the government does not change its stance he will consider resigning from his Ministerial post.
Speaking to a local newspaper, Amaraweera said that he will ensure the continuation of the development projects in the Hambantota District.
He pointed out that these development projects cannot be stopped for political reasons.
If these projects are stopped merely because they were started by former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, there will be no point in remaining in the government, the minister said.
