Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission which concluded investigations into Ratupaswala incident has reportedly recommended to SL army to act within the scope of their powers and responsibilities without overstepping the limits, highly placed sources of the commission said.
The HRCSL further recommended army and police to be coordinately worked each other if both parties were called to handle a public protest. It further recommended that the police should properly discharged their duties during a protest without neglecting duties.
Meanwhile, HRCSL observed that government institutions dealt with issuing and renewing license to the controversial factory had acted in an irresponsible manner. The recommendations against relevant government institutions to be forwarded to them soon.
