Faizer Requests Police To Stop Violence In Dambulla

Deputy Minister Faizer Mustapha had visited the mosque in Dambulla and held discussions with trustees and facilitators of the place of worship which is now at the centre of a controversy. It was alleged that the mosque had come under attack from mobs on several occasions.

As a means of addressing the concerns raised by worshippers at the Mosque the Deputy Minister assured them that necessary steps would be taken to safeguard the compound and ensure its well being.. He further added that higher authorities would be notified of the matter and would soon take measures to introduce a lasting solution to the problem.

 The Deputy Minister also met with senior Police officers of the area and requested them to take action to stop attacks against the mosque.
