Thirty-one Sri Lanka fishermen were caught and arrested by the Indian Coast Guard at Nagayalanka in Krishna district on May 7.
They were fishing in the Indian waters. Four boats and 4 metric tonnes of fish were also seized from the Lankan fishermen. The fisheries department would auction the confiscated fish on Sunday. The fishermen regularly visit that part of Bay of Bengal for Danya fish, which is much demanded in Sri Lanka.
