Reports say that a leading Muslim owned shop in Kollupitiya had been photographed by two persons earlier today.
They had also inquired whether the shop is owned by a Muslim, the Navamani Newspaper reported through its Twitter page, this morning.
The present trend of sudden fires erupting at Muslim owned shops has created a fear psychosis among Muslim businessmen across the country. Some Muslim businessmen are of the view that this has created a smokescreen where anyone can do anything in the guise of extremist organizations.
The reports also said that the management of the shop had lodged a complaint at the Kollupitiya Police. This has happened only hours after the suspicious fire at ‘No Limit’ shop at Panadura in the early hours of today.
