Army Commander Lieutenant General Chrishantha de Silva visited Kosgama, a few minutes ago. 

Residents in the are who spoke to Asian Mirror over the phone said the fire is still breaking out. They also said debris of the Army hit the Colombo- Avissawella, which was closed immediately after the fire broke out. 

The Kosgama Camp accommodated one of the biggest armouries of the Sri Lanka Army. 

Meanwhile, the Police requested the public to refrain from coming to the area to see the fire. 

Measures have been taken to evacuate those living close to the Army camp.
