Rajarata university in Mihintake has been closed down until further notice by the university authorities to ensure the safety of the university staff, a member of the academic staff told Asian Mirror.
The students surrounded the Vice Chancellor's office yesterday demanding him to revoke the suspension of several students. Reports coming from Anuradhapura say the Vice Chancellor and some staff members of the university are still trapped inside the Vice Chancellor's office.
Over 300 students of the Rajarata University were outside the vice chancellor’s office yesterday demanding the lifting of suspension imposed on 13 fellow students.
