Sakvithi Ranasinghe, who was imprisoned under the allegations of running an illegitimate financial company and cash scams, has been sent to the Angoda Mental Health hospital for a full evaluation.
Nugegoda Chief Magistrate Aruna Aluthge has requested the hospital authorities for a full report on Sakvithi Ranasinghe's mental health.
This order was made when the suspect started acting out and ranting in court where the attorney representing the suspect requested the Magistrate for a report on Ranasinghe's mental health.
It has been reported that on previous court gatherings Sakvithi Ranasinghe has made claims that he was being harassed in prison. But a letter from the warden declining Ranasinghe's claims laid the issue to rest.
