JVP Questions Ban Ki Moon's Conduct Over Gaza Violence

The Politburo of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna of  Sri Lanka has issued a statement to media expressing their serious concerns over the Israel - Palestine violence and the people of Palestine.

In this statement the JVP said " we condemn with utmost hatred the premeditated relentless campaign of air strikes that has killed more than 100 Palestinian civilians and wounded hundreds of children, old people and women and destroyed civilian infra-structure."

According to international media, among the victims there are more than 20 children including toddlers and school children.

'Israeli Zionist forces have continued to pound the densely populated city of Gaza with target seeking missiles, as a result the city is now in ruins', JVP said.

Reports coming in from Palestine state that Zionist forces have cut the electricity supply to Gaza city and have continued to attack through the nights.

JVP also say that the 'UNO and it's General Secretary have become idle bystanders as usual and have taken no action nor raised their voices against this violence'.

In their statement the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna has demanded Israeli Zionist 'criminals' to be tried at the Hague for violation of the Geneva Convention.
