Khuram Shaikh's Brother Expresses Gratitude To Sri Lanka

Nasser Shaikh brother of Khuram Shaikh the NGO worker who was murdered by the Tangalle PS Chairman, has issued a statement to media expressing his gratitude towards the Sri Lankan community for serving justice for his brother's murder.

"Today, the country has done what many people hoped and prayed for. Those who killed my brother have been punished and are now behind bars for a long time. Our campaign was not only about justice, but to bring awareness of the wonderful work my brother did around the world, working in humanitarian aid. He is a true inspiration for many and we hope his legacy continues with those he left behind", he said.

He has specially thanked the British High Commission of Colombo for their unending support throughout the hearing. And thanked the Sri Lankan government for providing proper justice to the accused.

 

In the statement he has said that he will keep his brother's legacy alive by continuing his good work in helping the people in need and aiding the poor.
