A police investigation has been launched over the disappearance of a luxury motor vehicle used by the late Maduluwawe Sobitha Thera.

The vehicle has disappeared several months back and a resident monk of the Kotte Naga Viharaya, Udathalakande Ariyaratne Thera, has complained of the matter to the police.

The Mirihana Police are conducting investigations.

It is said that the vehicle was valued at Rs 20 million.
