Leader of Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna Anura Kumara Disanayake was admitted to Ratnapura Hospital after meeting with an accident.  

The accident had taken place at Holipitiya on Ratnapura-Panadura road at 1.00 pm today.

Eye witness reports said that the JVP leader’s vehicle had collided with a truck that was transporting sand.

Hospital sources said that the JVP Leader had complained of a minor chest pain following the accident. However the doctors treating the JVP leader confirmed Asian Mirrror that his condition was not critical .

Dissanayake was transferred to Colombo National Hospital a short while ago for further treatment.
