Jayawardena too will retire from T20 Cricket after the T20 World Cup which is presently underway in Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, Asian Mirror also learns that Tillekaratne Dilshan and Rangana Herath are likely to announce their retirement from T20 Cricket in the next few days.

Speculation is rife that the recent controversy involving player contracts and financial commitments prompts the two heavyweights to announce their retirement from the T20 format. It was reported that the Sri Lankan cricket administration threatened to send a second-level team for the T20 World Cup 2014 if the senior players did not agree to SLC's terms and conditions.

However, denying such allegations , Kumara Sangakkara tweeted a short while ago that it was "right time for him to retire" on the grounds that ot would selectors more time to build for the next T20 World Cup.
