The Secretary General of Bodu Bala Sena Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thera has declared that he is not going to pay even a cent to Minister Rajitha Senaratne.
He made these remarks speaking to media after an audience with the Mahanayaka of the Malwathu Chapter of Siyam Nikaya Most Venerable Thibbotuwawe Sri Siddhartha Sumangala Thera.
Senaratne had earlier told that he was going to courts demanding Rs 1000 million as damages from BBS General Secretary for some allegations on the Minister’s financial irregularities. The Minister states that these allegations have done serious damage to his character.
Gnanasara Thera says that he has evidence to prove the allegations.
Meanwhile, Gnanasara Thera also spoke about the allegations put forward by ‘Ravana Balaya’ organization at the Prime Minister’s role as the Minister of Buddha Sasana. Gnanasara Thera was of the opinion that the Minister of Buddha Sasana should be a person who could be called upon for duty 24 hours a day.
Bodu Bala Sena handed over a survey report on the conditions of the Sinhalese and the Buddhist people in Sri Lanka to the Maha Nayaka Thera and Gnanasara Thera expressed his content at the response of the Maha Nayaka Thera.
