Namal Says Cabinet Reshuffle Doesn't Reflect Mandate Given To Govt At National Polls: "Pointless Swapping Of Same Faces"

Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa said the Cabinet reshuffle which took place this morning did not reflect the mandate given to the government by the people at the last national polls.

"Cabinet reshuffle has illustrated a pointless swapping of the same faces. It has nothing to do with the mandate given by the people at the polls or the betterment of the country," He said, on a Twitter post, a short while ago.

"Would really like to understand which ‘Scientific Method’ the Government used for this one," Rajapaksa also tweeted.

However, a major part of the mandate given to the government at the last Presidential and Parliamentary election was to prosecute those responsible to large scale cases of corruption under the previous government. Rajapaksa too was investigated in connection with several cases.
