Police IP Neomal Rangajeewa, a suspect out on bail, has reportedly grabbed a journalist who attempted to photograph him at Colombo High Court No. 1 premises.

Rangajeewa has handed over the journalist, who was on duty, to a police post within the courts premises.

Many journalists who were at the court this morning witnessed the incident.

Rangajeewa is an officer previously attached to the Police Narcotics Division. He was arrested and remanded in connection with the Welikada prison riots.
