Popular singer Jagath Wickremesinghe said he was still the Chairman of the state-run Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation.

Multiple media reports last week said Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella had ordered Wickramasinghe and his board of directors to resign with immediate effect over a number of irregularities.
