Police Spokesman Ajith Rohana Says 99 Persons Who Violated Regulations On NIC Last Digits Arrested

Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said the police had arrested 99 persons who disregarded the regulation NIC last gigits.

All those leaving home for non-essential work strictly are required to follow the NIC last digit system of Odd and Even dates, as announced by the police last Wednesday. The police have been instructed to take action against those who violate these instructions.

Travel restrictions will be imposed daily from 11 PM to 4 AM till May 31.

Bars and pubs will remain closed while all forms of gatherings in the public and private sector are strictly prohibited due to the current situation in the country.

Offices have been asked to make provisions for employees for remote working and work from home.
