Former Secretary to the Ministry of Industries Anusha Pelpita will be appointed as the Chairman of a state institution.

Informed government sources said Pelpita was likely to be appointed the Chairman of the Development Lotteries Board.

Pelpita, a senior administrator, has met Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa upon his resignation.

He resigned from his previous position due to a dispute with Minister Wimal Weerawansa.

Former Sri Lanka Ports Authority Chairman Gen. Daya Ratnaike has appointed appointed Pelpita’s successor.
