Former Minister Mangala Samaraweera has tested positive for COVID19.

Samaraweera has advised his personal staff members to isolate themselves as a precautionary measure.

Sources close to him say Samaraweera has not shown severe symptoms thus far.

Meanwhile, State Minister Prasanna Ranaweera has also tested positive for the virus.

He is the fifth parliamentarian to be infected during the fourth wave.
