Former Minister Milinda Moragoda Assumes Duties As Sri Lankan High Commissioner In India: Unveils New Policy Framework

The High Commissioner-designate of Sri Lanka in India, Milinda Moragoda, appointed with cabinet rank, assumed his duties at the Sri Lankan High Commission in New Delhi yesterday,

While assuming duties, Moragoda, a former minister, highlighted the need for working as one team to advance the interest of Sri Lanka.

Moragoda has released his policy framework entitled “Integrated Country Strategy for the Sri Lanka Diplomatic Missions in India 2021/2023”, which is expected to provide guidelines for the functioning of Sri Lankan Diplomatic Missions in India for the next two years.

The new High Commissioner said that his policy framework would be based on the principles of "Trust, Virtuous behaviour, Sacrifice and Thorough Understanding."
