President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has refused to accept the resignation of the Board of Directors, including the Chairman of the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka.

Secretary to the President Dr. P.B. Jayasundara has informed this in a letter to the Chairman of the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka Sanjaya Mohottala.

The Board of Directors and its Board of Directors, including the Chairman of the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka, sent letters of resignation to the President last week. They resigned after their faced severe criticism from COPE over thier conduct

BOI Chairman Sanjaya Mohottala has not reported for duty for the past few days and it is reported that his official car has been returned to the BOI offices along with the driver.
