Speculation is rife whether the Facebook post published by businessman Dilith Jayaweera, a close associate of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, hinted at Dr. P.B. Jayasundara, Secretary to the President,

Jayaweera posted on his Facebook a seemingly cryptic status update which loosely translated as, "No Shame, No resignation".

This came against the backdrop where a number of Cabinet ministers and senior figures of the government have called for the resignation of Dr. Jayasundara.

They are of the view that the conduct of Dr. Jayasundara is a major hindrance to the functioning of the government.

However, it is not immediately clear whether President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, who is currently overseas, shares the same sentiments as his Cabinet members.
