The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has announced that this year's highest inflation was recorded in November.

The central bank said surface inflation was 11.1 percent in November and 8.3 percent in October.

Inflation rose to 2.8 percent in November from 11.1 percent in the previous month, citing rising prices in both food and non-food categories.
