Parliamentary Debate On IMF Report On Sri Lanka Next Week: Govt. Heeds Opposition's Request

Chief Government Whip Johnston Fernando says a parliamentary debate will be held on the International Monetary Fund's report on Sri Lanka.

The Chief Government Whip said the debate would be held during the parliamentary sessions next week.

Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and the Samagi Jana Balawegaya had earlier called for a debate on the IMF report on Sri Lanka.

The report, which was made public by the IMF last week, highlighted a number of issues related to Sri Lanka's economy.
