Prominent businessman Dudley Sirisena said widely-circulated pictures of a fuel bowser at one of his hotels were misleading.

Sirisena said his hotels obtained fuel from the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation under a special arrangement given to all major hotels.

“Such arrangements are needed to ensure that tourists visiting Sri Lanka get a satisfactory service,” Sirisena said.

In addition to the standard arrangements, the businessman categorically stated that there was no preferential treatment by the government for his business establishments.

Dudley Sirisena is the brother of former President Maithripala Sirisena.
